Meet Dr. Mackenzie Owens
Dr. Mackenzie’s path to chiropractic started on the field. As a lifelong athlete, she always knew she wanted to work in a health-related space and originally planned to pursue physical therapy after earning her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas. But graduating in May 2020 meant stepping into a world where PT programs were paused, and that unexpected detour led her somewhere even better.
While working as a rehab tech in a chiropractic office, she discovered a more hands-on, personalized approach to care. That experience changed everything. She went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic and a Master of Science in Strength and Human Performance from Parker University in Dallas.
Care That Goes Beyond Pain
Dr. Mackenzie believes chiropractic care should be about more than just temporary relief. “It’s about quality of life, understanding each patient’s goals and where we can take them,” she says. Every visit starts with listening, building trust, and meeting patients exactly where they are.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, she helps patients improve how they move, function, and live day to day. Her approach blends techniques like Diversified adjustments, Activator Methods®, and drop table work, always tailored to the individual.
A Passion for Families and Kids
Dr. Mackenzie holds both Webster Certification and Pediatric Experience Certification. Her interest in pediatric care began during chiropractic school, when she participated in two mission trips to Haiti and cared for families in local communities, schools, and orphanages.
Working with kids quickly became a passion. As the youngest of five siblings and an aunt since the fifth grade, she’s always been surrounded by children and brings a natural warmth and ease to family care.
